Dog Food DirectDogFoodDirect is a family owned business. We take pride in providing outstanding customer service and pet food products that satisfy. We sell the best premium and super premium pet food brands. We strive to have fair prices and the lowest shipping costs possible.

Our family actively works in the DogFoodDirect business. Jo is the office manager and tends to e-mails and phone inquiries. Chuck is the business manager. Chuck has been in the pet food business for more than 30 years; he has worked in sales and marketing for a major manufacturer and owned a distribution company. Chuck currently serves as a consultant to the industry specializing in formulation and product development. Scott is learning the business by processing orders and by developing and implementing new internet technologies.

We share our home with pets. Chuck has labs who are pets and his hunting companions. Scott, who grew up training labs in obedience, currently has a golden retriever. The pictures of labs in our web site are pictures of our dogs, past and present.

Our internet business began in 1998. Many customers have purchased their pet food from us for years. We receive many unsolicited testimonials about the foods we sell and our quick service.

ORDERING: Call, e-mail or order online and we will respond. You can order one bag or many.

AUTOMATIC SHIPMENTS: You may want to be put on an automatic shipment schedule of whatever suits you. Let us know and we'll automatically ship to you.

SHIPPING: Our shipping charges are for the lower 48 United States only. For Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico e-mail Chuck for quotes. We do not ship to APO addresses or overseas. We ship orders by UPS anywhere in the lower 48 states. UPS takes 4-6 days for delivery. We use SpeeDee to ship to Iowa, most of Illinois, Minnesota, part of Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. SpeeDee has really reasonable rates and orders are delivered in 1-3 days. Pricing of products are on the Order Pages and our low cost shipping rates are calculated at check out.

BACKORDER: If a backorder message appears at checkout your order will be processed. Your order will be shipped when the product arrives. Most backorders are shipped within one week, usually less. If the product will be on backorder for a longer period you will be notified.

INCORRECT ADDRESSES: Sometimes we ship to incorrect addresses due to typos on the customer's order. We have to pay when those products are returned. These charges will be charged to the customer when this happens. If we make the mistake, we pay for our mistake.

RETURN and REFUND POLICY: If the pet food is defective we will replace or give a refund if you immediately let us know it is defective and save the product and packaging for inspection. If the packaging is severely damaged in shipment, save the packaging and product for inspection and notify us immediately in order to receive a partial or full refund or replacement depending on circumstances.

If you choose to return unopened, usable pet food for any other reason, we will refund the cost of the pet food, excluding shipping charges. We will not be responsible for any returned packages that are lost in shipping. It would be advisable to insure the package and get delivery confirmation for tracking purposes. If a package you are returning is lost, it is up to the customer to file a claim with the mailing company.
