  • How is the shipping cost for my order calculated?
    We use the weight of the order and apply a discount to the actual cost of shipping your order. In MN, ND, SD, IA, WI, and most of IL and NE we ship by SpeeDee. The SpeeDee shipping rates are lower than UPS. For the rest of the US we use UPS. We calculate shipping as a discounted amount from the actual these shippers charge.
  • How long does it take to get an order?
    We ship orders every day. In the SpeeDee area orders are usually delivered in 1 to 2 days. UPS orders are delivered in from 2 to 5 days. You can e-mail or call to ask about delivery time to your address.
  • I heard of a brand that I do not see in the DogFoodDirect web site; can you supply this brand?
    We can special order many of the brands that we do not regularly stock. Ask and we let you know if the item you want is available and what the special order timing will be.
  • Do you accept coupons?
    Yes! Note the coupon you have on your order and mail the coupon to us. We apply the coupon when you order and trust you to send the coupon.
  • Do you have frequent buyer programs?
    NutriSource and Eagle brands have frequent buyer programs; we support these programs. For NutriSource we count your purchases and send a FREE bag when you qualify.
  • Is there a discount for a large order?
    Yes! We have a volume discount.
  • Do I pay sales tax?
    We charge Minnesota sales tax to Minnesota customers. There is no sales tax on shipments to other states.
  • What if my pet does not like the food?
    Send us a note along with the UPC code from the bag and we will refund the full price of the food.
  • Can the delivery driver leave the package where I want it?
    Put a note on your order and we can include the delivery instructions on the shipping label.
